Kick-off conference LIMES
− 1 min readOn 5th February 2020, we held our kick-off conference to welcome our Early Stage Researchers in Maastricht.
The kick-off conference was attended by all newly hired early stage researchers and members of the 11 supervision teams, external partner organisations and support staff from the participating faculties.
The morning session started with a round of introductions and a presentation of the LIMES project (Prof. Sophie Vanhoonacker). Ethical issues and GDPR were explained by Prof. Teun Dekker, followed by an overview of the training programme by Prof. Cyrus Mody. The morning session was concluded by a presentation on finance (Sanne Winkens) and on communication and dissemination within the H2020 framework (Kendra Valck).
The afternoon session was opened by Prof. Dr. Rianne Letschert (rector magnificus), and included information on Important milestones, presented by Prof. Thomas Conzelmann. Data steward Maria Vivas Romero elaborated on RDM in Social Sciences. To finish the day, each Early Stage Researcher got the stage to present his/her individual LIMES project.
In the end, we raised our glass to our new young researchers and a fruitful cooperation across soft and hard borders!
